Florence Harbor Marina is in a great location close to town with a nice courtesy car. When we arrived, we didn't know we were in the center of pop music with Muscle Shoals right across the "singing river" as the Tennessee River is known in this region. Tours included Muscle Shoals music and the Helen Keller House in Tuscumbia, AL. This was just after the Looper Joe Wheeler Rendezvous so several loop boats were passing through the Wilson Lock which was damaged and pleasure craft were only locked through on a limited schedule.

Fall colors had begun so the vibrant leaves added to our stay. The photo below was used as our 2021 Holiday card cover photo.

The park next to the Florence Harbor was the landing for the American Cruise line riverboat, American Queen.

From Florence, we had decided to take a 5 day land side tour along the Natchez Trace Parkway since our cruise to Florence required passage under the Natchez Parkway bridge at mile 353.
