Nebo GPS Tracker Day 5

Today we had a leisurely departure from Algonac and headed up river 17 miles to St. Clair, MI a charming small town on the western shore of the river. We had to traverse our first drawbridge of this year at St. Clair which stops all the downtown traffic.

I recall traveling to this town to eat and visit the 1920's St. Clair Inn which was a charming English Tudor structure right on the water which attracted boaters from the US and Canada. It is now undergoing renovations and the owners have plans for reopening.

We arrived just before the annual St. Clair powerboat races over the upcoming weekend which brings a huge crowd to this small town for high speed racing on the river.
